How long is the course

  • Each Micro-certificate e-learning course can take up to 12 weeks to complete. Each course has 4 modules and 16 units.
  • Full certificate course accredited by the Academy of Medical Educators, UK is a 12-month program divided into 4 parts including Basic course, Advanced course, Assignment and Assessment. Each part takes 3 months to complete. Candidates are selected on a cohort basis and will be notified once the selection process is complete.
  • Candidates should register for either Micro-certificate or Full certificate course, not both.
  • Candidates who have completed Micro -certificate courses can choose to do the Full certificate course at a later date on a discounted fee rate but has to complete all the course parts even if it requires repetition of some modules.

The program consists of didactic lectures, video analysis, self-assessment tools, reflective questionnaires, practical demonstrations, case-based studies and interactive discussions. The course begins with introductions and record of intended learning outcomes in discussion with the learners to establish learning agreements and clear expectations. We use active learning methods, effective teaching strategies, assessment tools and feedback systems to promote student engagement and participation. The teaching is delivered by a team of faculty and facilitators. Our face to face instruction provides the learners the opportunity to interact, reflect and receive support for future development.
